Come out and support the SBSA and enjoy the Jays taking on the Boston Red Sox!
Tickets are just $15 (!) and includes transportation to and from Toronto. Bus will be leaving UW at 3:00 PM (to beat rush-hour traffic), game starts at 7:00 pm and we'll be leaving Toronto around 10:30-11:00 PM. So if you're just looking to go to Toronto for the weekend, why not go to a Jays game with friends rather then taking the Greyhound or GO bus?
Open to ALL UW students so tell your friends if you're interested!

This conference aims to bring together students and companies for a well-rounded learning experience, which this year focuses on the area of Tech Companies (Success Factors), Health care (For profit vs. Not-for-profit) and Energy (Contrasting the different areas).
Participants will get to network with many speakers and sponsors (including such companies as GlaxoSmithKline, PricewaterhouseCoopers, IBM and more) at the Company Exposition. Delegates will also have chance to test their ability in a case competition of current real-world problems. Last year's case study was sponsored by Open Text Corporation.
Mostly, this conference will give delegates a look into how their program (in business, science, engineering, health, technology, environment) are being applied in the real world in various industries.

Hey Everyone,
A quick thank you to all of those who made it out to our event today. We certainly had a great time and hope you did too; even though the Raptors didn't win we were only two baskets away from free pizza!
If you didn't get a chance to join us, we still hope to see you come out to our upcoming End of Term event at Bomber!! We will be providing amazing free food from Bomber for the evening (including 150 wings!), with alcohol service available to you if you are 19+. This will be taking place at 7 PM until 10 PM at the SLC Bombshelter, on Thursday Dec. 3rd.
We want this final meet-and-greet to bring the Fall term to an awesome close, and hope to see you and all your friends from Science there!

Update: Nov 21st, 2009
Thanks to all those who purchased tickets to the SBSA Raptors Trip 2009! Here are some important information to keep in mind that day.
TRANSPORTATION: Please arrive at Davis Center (DC) by 9:15AM on Sunday, November 22nd. We will arrive at Toronto at approximately 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
The location of where to meet for bus back to UW will be determined. We will try to arrange for close to the Toronto Coach terminal (Bay and Dundas). Our bus will be leaving at 6:00PM SHARP! So please meet at the announced meeting place by 5:45PM! Please note we will not be waiting for any late comers. Luckily, if you miss our bus, the greyhound is right next door =).
TICKETS: For those of you who haven't received your tickets yet, we will be distributing the tickets prior to getting on the bus. The $35 tickets will be picked up at ACC so we will distribute them when we get to Toronto. PLEASE BRING EXACT CHANGE!
APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE (IMPORTANT): 9:15AM - 11:30AM: En route to ACC 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM: GAME TIME!!! 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Free Time, meet at 6 PM for return bus trip. 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Bus back to UW

We've tallied up the surveys from 185 SciBus students and submitted a budget to SciSoc that reflects the feedback we've received. The budget was passed with resounding approval and includes funding for the following events: - A Barbeque - Glow-in-the-dark Bowling
- Billiard night at Dooly's - Sports game (Toronto Raptors or Toronto Rock, TBA) You guys will have a crucial role in making SBSA an active student association within Science. Help in areas such as spreading events by word-of-mouth, in-class talks, poster runs, and turning up to our events would be great!
